London’s largest office refurbishment of a listed building in the city centre took place across 2015/16, now called the Alphabeta Building. The historic facade was kept intact and the interior fully modernised. We were asked to realise the showcase sculpture which now hangs above the entrance atrium.
Spanning 7m x 5m and hanging 4m off the ground, the piece serves as both public sculpture and functional lighting for the building entrance. Crafted from brushed aluminium and LED strip lighting, the piece is abstract sculpture when viewed from behind and a functional logo when viewed street-side.
