Chinatown Public Sculpture

(info)

Commissioned by the Hippodrome in 2018, conceptual artist Otto Li developed ‘Five Peak Sculpture’ in response to the building’s location as one of the main entry points to London’s historic Chinatown. Inspired by the 5 great mountains of China.

Art & Assembly was chosen as the lead fabricator and project manager, collaborating with London Sculpture Workshop and Kakilang (the organisation formerly known as Chinese Arts Now). We did the technical design, build and installation oversight of the final 16-meter long piece now on permanent display on Little Newport Street.
